Museo Casa del Mendrugo

Museo Casa del Mendrugo
Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza, Mexico

A simple and beautiful piece of the XVI century, is the symbol of Casa del Mendrugo because it is the persuit of foods and spices of beyond the seas, as we know, what led to the discovery of America. It is also an example of novohispano taste for fine china in table culture. A brush delineated fish definitely refers to those who crossed the ocean to find a new world, but also to the rivers surrounding the city of Puebla and perhaps a christian symbol in this once Jesuit house.
