Spring blades cut and laminated with paper

Cutting the spring blades from thin card, then laminating them with paper folded around their edges, takes a zen like approach to life. There are twenty springs on the YG locomotive and tender and each one has 12 to 14 leaves. Between 240 to 280 spring blades have to be made. I do them ten or twenty at a time, with frequent breaks to relieve the boredom by working on something else.
