St Casimir parish was established in 1890. In 1910, when the number of families exceeded two thousand it became clear to everyone that it was necessary to build a large church. In the new building of the church the first Holy Mass as celebrated on Christmas in 1918, even though the temple was not dedicated until 1919.
The two-tower church of St. Casimir with the capacity of 1500 seats, was designed by the USA-recognized architecture studio Worthmann & Steinbach.
