The POLONIKA National Institute of Polish Cultural Heritage Abroad was established by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage on 18 December 2017, as a specialized state cultural institution aimed at researching, protecting and popularizing Polish cultural heritage abroad. The Institute pursues its objectives through scientific research, conservation, information, educational and popularization projects focused on three strategic programmes: RESEARCH, PROTECTION AND POPULARIZATION. The activities undertaken include two basic components of Polish cultural heritage abroad, i.e. the historical heritage of the Multinational Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the cultural heritage of many generations of Polish exiles in countries across the world.
