Weston Park

Weston Park
Weston-under-Lizard, United Kingdom

The left hand side of the map shows the current Shrewsbury Lodge, situated at a crossroads comprised of the public roads and also the drive into Weston Park, with the drive running above the building. Shortly afterwards, the roads were moved, to enlarge the park, and the Shrewsbury Drive was moved to run south of the lodge. Capability Brown's western pleasure ground, the Shrewsbury Walk, can be clearly seen to the left of the House, with its circuitous path. A remnant avenue - perhaps a survival from the late seventeenth century - can be seen near the Shrewsbury Walk
