The main motif of this installation is drawn from Lee Ungno’s People series. It uses a built in camera to capture audience members’ physical postures and transcribe them on its white screen as calligraphic human forms from a People painting. Reborn as a form reminiscent of Lee’s brushstrokes, in which distinctions between gender, age, ethnicity, and social rank are erased, the audience is integrated as a group of people, creating a new digital painting.
