- description of the project: After present himself to the world in 2013 with MÁRIO QUEM ?, the artist Mário Belém returned in 2016 with a new solo exhibition titled 'There is only one truth: the exit is in the mirror'. Presented in a 'pop-up show' format, lasting only one week in the middle of Bairro Alto, this exhibition concentrated on itself a 2 year continuous period work of painting in the streets, of continuous passion and perfection of the painting and an increasing fascination in the work with wood. This exhibition also marked a period of personal loss ... mother, grandmother and father; Which inevitably are reflected in the whole body of work presented, dominated by infinite shades of gray, punctuated with color, much color, as signs of hope or as the artist himself would say: 'like kick-and-ball-to-the-moments -front'.
