The sacred family with the goldfinch, generally dated to 1632-1634, is located at the Wallraf Richartz-Museum in Cologne,
n. 1038 (H. Vey and A. Kesting, 1967, pp. 100-103, Fig. 137). In this regard, Rooses remembers a design (Vienna,
Graphishe Sammlung Albertina, n. 8207) which in fact derives from the work.
The engraving of Bolswert is one of his most successful as it reproduces the painting of the Rubens, particularly nuanced,
with a greater sweetness than in other prints.
The copper of a copy of the Holy Family is at the Stedelijk Prentenkabinet in Antwerp.
