The Bridge of the Alpini

The Bridge of the Alpine soldiers We choose to adopt as “our monument” the so called Bridge of the Alpine soldiers for many reasons: it has always been identified, for historical and social reasons, with the city of Bassano; it is its most famous touristic monument. Today it is going to be restored and this, on the by the civic community,, is experienced with apprehension but also with confidence towards the workers who have been entrusted with the work. With this adoption my students would like, in their own way, to call attention to what the Ponte Vecchio means for everyone, especially for the history that every piece of worn and weakened wood brings with it.
