The Bust of Sun Yat-sen (孙中山像)was designed according to both his outline and inner world and finally achieved unity of form and spirit. The posture is of great momentum, simple but generous. It depicted the thinking expression of Sun, revealing his thoughts, will and ideals – the upright and indomitable spirit and his concern of the people and the country. A simple and unadorned form, which exudes great power, is what Zeng Zhuzhao kept pursuing for – to transcend from creating figurative art to an artistic ideology that reflect spirit and souls.
