In the early years of the 1920s, there was a large number of general sports publications in several cities in the country, as well as club-related informative bodies, characterized by the lack of much of much of the publications, mainly in Lisbon. The weekly magazine Eco Sportivo, directed by Abel Moreau, has not passed ten numbers. With the subtitle of 'weekly magazine, illustrated, sports, theatrical and literary', Eco Sportivo devoted particular attention to football, especially to the Lisbon Championship, and to boxing. The Sections 'Sportive album' (biographical page on the main Portuguese footballers) and "World Outside" (dedicated to international sport, mainly football, athletics (still used the term pedestrianism), cycling, boxing and aviation ).
