The Escape (Maternity)

As a stele which commemorates the most instinctive and deep sentiment like the love for one’s child, the sculpture shows a hug between a woman and a newborn, cuddled up between the neck and the left shoulder of the mother. Her step is just hinted, the idea of the escape is indeed determined by the embrace, so tight to make it look more like a way to contain the child before start moving.
