The Last Christ

The artist has created an emotive discourse on the distortion by Daesh of religious ideology. The depiction of Christ’s head makes reference to the very great sacrifice and suffering endured by many within the city. It seems also to make reference to resurrection and rebirth, creating a clear vision of hope for the future of Mosul.
