The main building of the Hopchytsya school, which housed the German headquarters during the Second World War, housed soldiers and their families, and stables were arranged in the classrooms. It was on the roof of this building that frescoes of the Holy Trinity Church of Hopchytsya, which was destroyed by the communists in the 1930s, were discovered.
