The Museum of the History of the village of Hoptsi was established with the aim of preserving the historical heritage of one of the oldest and most interesting villages in the region. The village is situated near the sources of the renowned Ros River on the border between Kyiv and Podillia. Hoptsi has witnessed numerous significant events throughout Ukrainian history.
To design the interior of the museum halls, highly qualified experts from Kyiv were involved, in addition to local craftsmen. The collection of exhibits for the museum was organized at various times by local residents of Hoptsi: Anton Stepanovych Kolesnyk, Stepan Mykytovych Ohirchuk, Dmytro Oleksandrovych Saliizhenko, and Oleksandr Viktorovych Saliizhenko.
The museum's exhibition is housed in two buildings and seven halls. The museum opened its doors in 1990, marking a significant event for the village community.
The unique items and historical artifacts displayed in the museum narrate the fascinating history of Hoptsi village and its substantial contribution to the cultural and historical development of the region.
