"The Nazi Party Rally Grounds in World War II. Imprisonment, Forced Labor and Mass Murder," a 2019 exhibition, illuminated the history of the Rally Grounds in Nuremberg between 1939 and 1945. Numerous victims' biographies were used to show how the site was transformed into a place of coercion, violence and extermination for thousands of people. The exhibition was shown in the "Great Pillared Hall" of the Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg. In the background behind the rather airy-looking exhibition modules you can see part of Günther Domenig's glass "spear" driven diagonally through the monumental National Socialist structure.
