Cola King's main work revolves around cartoons, illustrations and commentaries. He often records his street observations with a camera, capturing traces of popular culture in the new era. His works display many elements that are clearly a mixture of art and popular culture. The innocent faces of the girls in Hsimen Ting (a place where teenagers gather especially at the weekend), deliberately adopting self-confident postures in front of the camera, in the work "The Pretty Young Girl Reunion", are a direct reflection of the teenage girl culture prevalent in Japan. Through his camera Cola King captures the youth of these Japan following girls. By developing and enlarging these images, the artist transforms them into huge photo stickers and uses them to construct a collage wall. This creates an exaggerated sense of drama, mourning the bloom of life that passes in the blink of an eye.
