From Miya to Kuwana is a seven ri (about 28 km.) sea voyage, and the port at Kuwana is called the “seven ri arrival port.” The trip by boat took about 4 hours, and during that time travelers enjoyed the views of the ocean and land. Two ships are lowering their sails having arrived in the port’s choppy waters. Surrounded by the ocean on three sides, Kuwana Castle is also called Ogi-jo (“folding fan castle”).
