Eight kilometers after departing Nihonbashi, you arrive at the first station, Shinagawa station. It was an especially picturesque location, and a famous place to enjoy the moonlight. For this reason it was not as popular with travelers as it was with dilettantes, who patronized the restaurants and inns in search of amusement.
