The Sweeping Lawn at Weston Park

Looking east towards the west front of Weston Park, the sweeping walk links Capability Brown's Shrewsbury Walk to the house itself. It is set with specimen trees that were frequently used by Capability Brown, including evergreen holm oak and also Cedars of Lebanon. There are also an exceptional group of Sweet chestnuts, comprised from the limbs of one parent tree which have rooted to form a stand of independent trees
