Both the so-called hanging bowls and the smaller belt boss were discovered in a moor near Bad Oldesloe as early as the 19th century. Very similar hanging bowls come from the hoard of Kronshagen (Showcase 79); their exact function still has not been determined. The smaller boss was worn on a belt like a buckle. These bronze objects had a high value for the owner, hence their deposition in the moor was a valuable gift to the gods.
