Six scars on my skin: two significant ones and four smaller ones, all transformed into a really touching and significant project. Taking on these physical marks weakens me, marks me, but at the same time strengthens me. My Venus is my portrait, the model of my body and of the imprints that have marked my body and my soul.
The more I look at her, the more I see myself reflected in her. The Venus, with her charm, demonstrates her exceptional and striking beauty without shame. She carries in her lap my imperfections, giving them charm and exploring their oddities. She makes them unique and precious, unchanged in time and space. She keeps them safe in her divine grace and her delicately draped tunic. Even though she is imperfect, she’s still damnably seductive.
