This is the 25-year official history (1469-1494) of Joseon’s 9th King Seongjong. In April 1495, 4 months after Seongjong’s death, the book started to be written down, and in March 1499, it was published and placed in a royal archive. Due to the Japanese invasion, all the annals but the one in Jeonju were lost, so from July 1603(year 36 of Seonjo) to March 1606, the book was published again. Jangseogak holds the copy from Jeoksangsan archive, but they were taken by the North Korean army during the civil war. Only a combined volume3-5 book of 『Annals of King Seongjong』 is remaining.

- Korean caption: 조선 제9대 임금인 성종의 재위 25년(1469~1494)간의 정사를 기록한 책이다. 성종이 승하한 지 4개월 뒤인 1495년 4월에 편찬에 착수하였고 1499년 3월에 간행하여 사고(史庫)에 봉안하였다. 임진왜란으로 인해 전주 사고의 것만 남고 나머지 실록이 모두 소실되자 1603년(선조 36) 7월부터 1606년 3월까지 다시 간행하였다. 장서각에는 적상산 사고로부터 이관한 실록이 있었으나 한국전쟁 당시 북한군이 반출해갔고, 이 때 흘리고 간 『성종대왕실록』의 권3~권5의 낙장을 합철한 한 책이 전한다.
