The west embanked edge of Temple Pool at Weston Park

Weston Park Foundation2017

Weston Park

Weston Park
Weston-under-Lizard, United Kingdom

The early twentieth century classical Aedicule stands to the side of the path that runs along the west edge of Temple Pool. Close by was formerly the estate's ice house in which ice was stored for use in culinary fayre, such as ice creams, at the main house. This edge of the pool is, in fact, a man made embankment, holding the water above the natural valley that slopes off to the left.
