The road alignment on the right hand side of the map, forming the western boundary, has been altered. Now, the crossroads at the Shrewsbury Lodge has become oblique in form, with the Shrewsbury Lodge itself now located to the north of the drive to the House. These changes were possibly affected by the landscape gardener John Webb who prior to 1835 had not only been improving the main park but was also creating an important detached pleasure ground landscape to the north around a lake called White Sytch.
