The ‘XG’ Class was built in 1928 by Beyer Peacock & Co. Ltd., as a Hump Yard Shunting Locomotive. This photograph appeared in the Indian State Railway Magazine: October 1929 – March 1930 Issue, soon after the locomotive was inducted in service on the North Western Railway.
