    Kilmore 7 April 1842 Sir Having received a letter from my station of Watanegang on the Hume River, intimating that armed Bushrangers (who before visited my place & have been out these three months) had cobbed a neighbouring station and had threatened to plunder mine; and having today learned that the same parties had come down on the main road to stopped travellers hereupon, I beg to bring these facts under your notice, as well as the weakness of the Police force in that quarter; - (there being now only one trooper on the Bulleen River), and to express a hope that you will not in these circumstances persist in its
