This is a rectangular leatherette case with matched brass hook closures and an embossed lid. It is lined with purple gosgrain and velvet. It contains three compasses of brass and steel (a-c), one point (d), one holder (e), and one steel file (f). There is watered paper on the case bottom. There is a tray that is shaped to hold the implements. The case is generally worn, the covering is pulled away at the corners, and the tools are oxidized and dirty.
