Clothing of the Goryeo Dynasty 1
Special fabric was produced for this exhibition specifically to recreate the elegant style of Goryeo women as depicted in Buddhist Paintings of the Paradise of Amitabha dating to the Goryeo period. Silk gauze woven with silk threads creates the gentle silhouette of jeogori and chima. In this ensemble, jeogori was made with red dyed silk fabric with a pressed pattern of clouds that truly expresses the richness of Goryeo clothing.
