Traditional attire used by the Silleteros of Antioquia, who were men that carried tradable goods and other commerce on their back tied to a chair, they would walk I on foot through the mountains and valley of Antioquia, making their clothing meet certain standards for the dangerous travels.

The Silleta is function as the carrying structure that silleteros would use all around Antioquia to transport good from town to town, for the Silleteros de Santa Elana, their Silleta represent the wealth and exaltation of the traditional trading method, nowadays Silletas are used in some carnivals in the region to carry flower arrangements.
