Transumare is a residence lasting ten days of travel and painting within the Mazarese territory, in Sicily.
The project, linked to the Ricreazioni artistic mobility program, saw the artists Ciredz, Tellas and Andreco move within the rural and cultural traditions of Sicily, letting themselves be influenced by the development of their paintings.
Inspired by the ancient model of transhumance, the name of the project comes from the Latin whose meaning is beyond the Earth. The choice of the term is not at all accidental but rather wants to extend the concept and the dimension of the project. In fact, Transumare wants to stimulate a different cultural dimension, precisely through the idea of movement and migration, within the landscapes of Sicily.
