A "father" (negative) disc is created from the silver-plated disc, and from that the "mother," and from that the "son," which serves as the pressing master. With the modern direct metal mastering procedure (DMM), 2 work stages in the galvanic bath are no longer needed. The "son" is taken directly from the template.
