From shellac discs to digital downloads, DG has been a pioneer of technology and a benchmark for artistic excellence. Now, in partnership with Google Arts & Culture, the label has created an innovative collection of twelve online exhibitions. These draw on the vast DG archive of recordings and photographs to illustrate aspects of the history of recording, and to shine a light on some of the label’s relationships with individual musicians and orchestras over the decades.
