In some cases the inclusions themselves can become so characteristic that they can provide us with information about the identity of the stone, such as lily pods in peridots, tiger stripes in amethyst, or, as we can see in the picture, trichites. They can be found in many tourmalines, in this particular case known as bicolor tourmaline. Trichites are fluid inclusions, biphasic capillary channels that can intertwine forming veils, like the ones seen in the picture.
