Turtle frog, Myobatrachus gouldii

A strange creature! But this odd, flat-figured frog, whose 5 cm-long body really looks a lot like a turtle shell with fat legs protruding from it, is perfectly adapted to life in the deserts of Central Australia. It spends almost all year underground and feeds off of termites.
