The U.S. Army's military parades in the 1950s and 1960s were a symbolic takeover and ideological appropriation of the Zeppelin Field. From 1933 to 1938 this area had hosted the Nazi Party Rallies – elaborate propaganda events intended to impress the public and to display the National Socialists' concept of themselves.
