The operation of a railway system depends on several support activities, often out of sight, but which are essential for trains to run with the best conditions and in complete safety. One of these activities is the inspection and maintenance of infrastructure, which has its own vehicles for specific purposes. This is the case of quadricycles, used in the company since 1931, with the aim of modernising conditions of the line's maintenance and inspection work. Vehicle adapted to travel on rails, this model was operated by one person, with two seats, namely for the driver and one passenger. They were used by district managers, track section chiefs and metallic structure engineers for surveillance purposes. It is equipped whit a toolbox.
