UN Forum on Indigenous Issues Opens 11th Annual Session

Australian aboriginal performer, Cameraon McCarthy, stands with his didgeridoo, a traditional musical instrument, at the opening of the eleventh session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII)’s. This year’s Forum will emphasize the theme, “The Doctrine of Discovery: Its Enduring Impact on Indigenous Peoples and the Right to Redress for Past Conquests”.
