United Nations Association of Australia

Australia

To mark the 75th anniversary of the United Nations, this UN75 Exhibition shares five untold stories of Australia’s involvement with the UN. Discover the early post-war years, our contribution to global peace and security, how we shaped human rights, our sustainable development commitments, and the global citizenship values we live every day. Created in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and Multicultural NSW.

The United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA) works to inform, inspire and engage Australians on the work, goals, and values of the United Nations to create a safer, fairer, more sustainable world. Our national programs and events help educate Australian citizens and leaders about the UN’s vital work and its critical role in striving to maintain international peace and security, human rights and sustainable development. In particular we focus on promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the issues affecting Australians and Australia, such as climate change, the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, gender equality and refugees.
