United States Navy Service Dress Blue uniform jacket. Double breasted with six gold buttons, notched lapel collar and gold bullion sleeve stripes indicating Rear Admiral rating.

Ribbons include Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy & Marine Corps Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, China Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Antarctic Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Naval Reserve Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, United Nations Service Medal, Vietnam Civil Action Medal, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Worn by Rear Admiral Samuel Lee Gravely between 1971 and 1976 before his promotion to Vice Admiral. Born in Richmond, VA in 1922, Gravely enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserves in 1942, and was commissioned as an Ensign in 1944. In 1971, he was selected for promotion to Rear Admiral, becoming the first Black naval officer in the nation's history to earn this recognition. He was later promoted to Vice Admiral in the summer of 1976 on board the USS JOUETT, one of the Navy's most sophisticated guided missile cruisers and one of the ships he had previously Commanded.
