To celebrate Mexican culture and the equal right of all to beauty, Refettorio Mérida displays an artwork by artist Bosco Sodi. Sodi is a Mexican contemporary artist known for his richly textured, vividly colored large-scale multimedia paintings and for his philanthropic efforts. Art, as Bosco conceives it, is “A tool to connect with others and with ourselves, with other people, with the nature that surrounds us and with the universe.” For the Refettorio he chose a painting with a lot of light and silver, a message of rebirth and hope.
