During the seventies and eighties, Arasa accentuates the emotional aspect and increases the tendency towards expressionism, coinciding with a decrease in exhibition activity and an increase in output and sales. The painting of Ferran Arasa during this period tends towards an accentuation of the emotional aspect, which is reflected in a clear tendency towards expressionism: the colour acquires much greater force and the brushstrokes are broader, vigorous and free and the forms less defined with a tendency towards abstraction, while maintaining at all times the landscape as the subject reference and the organiser of colour on the canvas.  There are multiple colour combinations, with contrasting chromatic relationships that make the work a unique and living landscape.
