In the traditional Via Crucis' path, after St. Veronica has wiped the face of Christ from the sweat of toil and blood that flowed from the wounds of the crown of thorns, Jesus falls a second time. The abruzzi artist proposed the same composition of the same scene made a few years earlier in the whole cycle dedicated to the path of the Crucifixion for the Basilica of San Giovanni Bosco.
