The La Encarnacion station, now demolished, was the initial stop of the Lima-Chorrillos railway. It was in Plaza San Martin, on Pacae Street –now Jiron Carabaya-, next to the La Encarnacion church, where its name comes from. The route of the railway headed south, towards Miraflores, Barranco and Chorrillos. It had a connection with the San Juan station, which was part of the Lima-Callao railway line.
