View of the nautical features on the terrace of Keval Mahal, an Art Deco apartment building situated on Netaji Shubash Chandra Bose Road along Marine Drive. It was designed by P C Dastur for a Gujarati businessman Kevalchand Mehta. Building's elements draw inspiration from the surrounding context. Features like the ocean, waves, and nautical imagery have been incorporated into the building design in the form of porthole shaped concrete grills, turret-like viewing galleries and projecting balconies often symmetrical positioned on the facade.
This building is a part of 'The Victorian Gothic and Art Deco Ensembles of Mumbai', a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was inscribed to the list on June 30, 2018.
