The photo shows the buildings at the intersection of the eastern frontage of the market square and ob. Najświętszej Marii Panny Street. In the lower right corner there is a Baroque fountain with a figure of Neptune. The tenement house number 1, visible in the background, housed a pharmacy. Painter and photographer Gustav Henkel was born in Legnica. In 1870, he opened an atelier at ul. Mickiewicza in Legnica, which operated until the beginning of the 20th century. In 1882, it expanded its activities to include a photolithography and photographic printing facility. Gustav Henkel Died in Legnica.
