The Villa San Marco is located on the plateau of Varano, completely buried by the Vesuvian eruption of August 24, 79 AD. it was then discovered several centuries later by the Bourbons (l1749 -1782), who realized that the ash rain had contributed favorably to the excellent state of conservation. After a period of darkness from the archaeological point of view, from 1950 to 1962, Stabia has been rediscovered, thanks to the excavations undertaken by the archaeologist Libero D'Orsi. Access, in a degraded environment, beyond the vision of clothes hanging in the sun, hides a beautiful and precious pearl: our Roman villa which unfortunately is difficult reach. Our choice to adopt it came from the affectionate feeling we prove for it as we passed there many afternoons of joy . Perhaps it has been the Villa to chose us.
