A watercolour by an unknown artist, possibly based on a late 18th-century image by the architect Pietro de Rossi (1761–1831). In addition to Vilnius Lower and Upper Castles and Vilnius Cathedral, which are easily recognizable to a today’s observer, the watercolour also depicts objects that failed to reach our days: Vilnius Cathedral’s parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene (watercolours on the left) and the Monastery of the Brotherhood of Saint Roch and hospital complex (on the right) located at the beginning of Pilies Street, near the Castle Gate.
