This exhibit consists of three components: a violin, a bow, and a case. It belonged to the creator and folk musician Józef Schmidt, the founder of the folk band from Ołobok (Greater Poland Voivodeship, Ostrowski County, Sieroszewice Municipality). It was acquired as a gift from the owner's daughter.
The violin is a four-stringed instrument in brown with decorative floral finishing. The bow is long and equipped with natural horsehair. The case is lined with felt, fastened with a clasp, and has a handle for carrying.
The violin was one of the primary instruments in the Kalisz folk band, complemented by bass instruments during performances.
