Virtudes Promenade I. Urban Front

The Virtudes’ inherent patrimonial value has unquestionably favoured its current use: the modernized urban front – that mingles the new uses and equipment, with the old ones, above the excessive “city beautiful” movement, – is associated to a public garden that offers an unconventional cultural program, especially in the music sphere. The UNESCO Recommendation on the Historic Urban Landscape (2011) recognizes and promotes the dynamic character of living cities.
